Payment & Delivery

Payment Terms 

For most custom cakes, I will complete the cake and then send you photos for approval.  Once approved, then payment and delivery arrangements can be made.

Pre-payment of 50% of the cake quote is required on extremely customized orders (cakes with names, unique themes, etc).  I will let you know from your inquiry if this is required.

I accept Cash and Check on local orders.  For non-local orders I accept Credit/Debit cards via Paypal.  You do not have to have a Paypal account to use it.  I will send you a Paypal invoice that will include instructions to proceed with payment. 

Delivery & Pick-up

If you are within a 30 mile radius, Delivery/Pick-up can be scheduled and arranged.  I am a stay at home mom, with two children, but I try to make every effort to work out delivery that is convenient for you.

Shipping

Once the payment has passed through Paypal, I will ship your cake as quickly as possible.  I usually do shipments on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.  After I have shipped the cake, I will email you the UPS tracking number.  You should be able to track the cake within one business day.  

Most cakes will arrive within 3-7 days after shipping depending on your proximity to NC.  Shipping within NC usually will arrive next day.  If you have any questions, please email me with your zip code before hand to get an estimated shipping time.

Q:    How long will it take to create my cake?
A:    The answer really varies depending on the orders in front of yours.    I can say with confidence that I can usually create your cake within a week of you placing your order. Although, for more specialized cakes it can be a little longer due to the fact that I may have to order some items, and wait on them to arrive before I can start on the cake. 

A: No worries, I am happy to accept orders from all over! Simply choose the items you would like and email me, let me know which items you would like to order and your mailing address so I can calculate shipping costs for you! I will let you know what the shipping will be, at which time you can decide if you want to order or not.

Q: What brand of diapers do you use?

A: I use Pampers Swaddlers size 1 (fits 8-14 pounds) diapers on all my diaper creations. 

Q: What if I want a different brand/size?

A: I will gladly make any item I offer with a different brand or size diaper for you.  Just contact me using the contact form or email me directly and let me know what item, and the size/brand you would like! Extra charges may apply.

Q: What will the dimensions of the cake be?

A: As a general guideline, each tier is about 6 inches.  On most cakes there is a topper of some sort that can range in between 3 and 6 additional inches.  Also once the cake is complete and ready to be shipped, I wrap the cake in tulle and leave a little "puff" of tulle at the top that is around 3 to 4 inches.  Most of the time I use a 12 inch cake base at the bottom.

Q:  How are your Diaper Cakes constructed?

A: All of our Diaper Cakes are hand wrapped and held together with ribbon. Some of the items on the Diaper Cakes are held with pins so please be very careful when taking your diaper cake apart.

Q: Why do you wrap and not roll the diapers?

A:  I usually wrap the diapers to create the cake instead of rolling them and placing rubber bands around them.  I do so, so there is no misshaping of the diapers (rolled cakes tend to make the diapers misshapen and not as easy to use).  If you prefer the look of the rolled diapers, I will be glad to accomodate you as well.  Just please note it when ordering or on the email you send me.

Q: What will my cake look like when it arrives?

A: Each cake is assembled with the utmost care and is stable enough to ship.  It is constructed with internal support so no assembly is required when it arrives.  I wrap each cake in elegant white tulle from top to bottom and leave a little "puff" of tulle at the top. Wrapping the cake in tulle gives some additional stability and support, but the cakes look equally as lovely without it if you prefer to take it off.  I tie the tulle with a coordinating ribbon to match the cake.  Below is a photo of a cake wrapped for delivery:

Q: How should I handle my Diaper Cake once it arrives?

A: All of our Diaper Cakes are constructed with support to handle transportation bumps along the way but your Diaper Cake can be sensitive to extreme shaking or throwing. So please handle with care. All of our Diaper Cakes are wrapped in tulle and as you know tulle is a very delicate fabric. NEVER carry your Diaper Cake by the tulle wrapping. ALWAYS hold and carry the Diaper Cake by the base.

Q: Do you have a physical store?

A: Unfortunately, at this time, I work out of my home and I do not have a physical store, although one day I would love to!
